Ramadan events benefit hundreds of children in the UAE

The Gift of Giving Ramadan programs are a highlight in Action Care’s calendar each year, and Ramadan 2015 has been no exception, with a total of thirteen Gift of Giving programs conducted for over 750 less-privileged children, including those with special needs, in each of the seven emirates.

In each location, the Action Care crew and corporate volunteers welcomed the children to a five-star venue with a program of interactive games, face painting, a Ramadan-themed treasure hunt, and Arabic-lantern art activity. Laughter and applause marked the program highlight, “The House that Glowed”, a dramatic and heartwarming play celebrating Ramadan and the joy of giving to others in need. The “Gift of Giving” came to life as the children and volunteers worked together to pack school bags to be distributed to other children in need. The celebration concluded with a sumptuous Iftar and specially selected back-to-school gifts for each child.

The material presented in the Start Early course is structured and organized, and enables the participants to understand the concepts clearly. I like the fact that the course is fun and interactive, unlike other workshops that rely only on theory. Educators and parents need to come to workshops like this.
