Health Champs brings health education to students in Dubai

September marked the launch of Health Champs, a health education campaign. The program engaged nearly 1000 primary school students who learned as they played their way through the activity-packed program which uses demonstrations, role plays, activities and games to transfer key information on sugar consumption, heart health, the benefits of an active lifestyle, and how to make smart nutritional choices.

Volunteers and Action Care manned the individual activities and stations together with Little Feet Champs — young graduates of the Little Feet Program conducted by Action Care, Emirates NBD and Ahdaaf Football Club. A Health Champs booklet containing child-friendly recipes and try-at-home challenges reinforced the key message: healthy living is a lot of fun!

I learned that anyone can make the world a better place and can make a difference. Now I feel confident that I can make a difference, and after I finish school I'm going to volunteer and try to make a difference myself. I'd like to thank the MOVE Program, because this program improves us, it improves our school and makes it a better place.
